Increased Total Award Amount

We will REDUCE our share of the recieipts in order to provide a cash award to the winning entrant AND a cash award to the charity BOTH! For example, if your organization runs a SINGLE contest in any category, you would raise respectively:

Contest
Winner's Award
Charity's Allotment

Youth
$300.00
$600.00
High School
$400.00
$800.00
College
$500.00
$1,000.00
Open
$600.00
$1,200.00

Or - If a high school were to run a SINGLE contest in each of four grades (Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, Senior), the high school would raise $3,200 - AND - four students would win $400.00 EACH!

Adjusted Rules

Eligibility

For the purposes of a fund-raising contest, entrants will be categorized by the organization running the contest. For example, High School populations might include 14, 19, and 20 year olds. In a standard contest, these students would fall into YOUTH and COLLEGE level contests, respectively. However, for the purposes of a FUND-RAISING CONTEST run by the school through WC100, we would accept entries from ALL students enrolled in the school at the HIGH SCHOOL level.

Posting

To ensure that all entrants ARE associated with a particular Fund Raising Contest, entries will ONLY be accepted from an individual (or individuals) identified by the charity, non-profit or school for this purpose. ONLY full contests will be accepted. (Multiples of 100) WC100 is happy to accomodate limited or expanded contest numbers, (say - to run a single contest of 150 entries, for example), but these changes must be defined during initial discussion with WC100.

WC100 will create and maintain a PRIVATE contest page for Fund Raising Contests. We can make this page totally PRIVATE (available only to Fund Raiser participants) or we can limit the entries only to Fund Raiser participants but make the voting and commenting fuunctions available to the WC100 community at large. Again, this detail must be defined during initial conversation with WC100.

Judging

The sponsoring organization will decide whether judging and voting will be carried out in the usual WC100 manner (see here), or whether the sponsoring organization will provide judges and perform the judging function. School-based fund raisers may especially desire to have faculty judge the entries, rather than entrant voting.
